I just got this thing, and it’s quite amazin. I’m super happy with it. Planed some generic 2×4’s for a simple shelft and they came out smooth as glass. Took me some time to learn how to use the device, but I’m a happy camper now.

When I first opened this, I thought it looked and felt no better than the cheap import one I had a couple years ago. Then I tried it – the quality of the machining and castings were evident – this is MUCH better than the cheap imports. After a couple months use now, everything still works smoothly on this, and it has plenty of power for small jobs like I do with it – planing doors to get a good fit during remodeling. It leaves an excellent finish, and the base has grooves so I can chamfer the door edges like they came from the factory after sizing them to fit.
